Sky Valley Indian Education Program to host Pow Wow

Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan Public Schools' Skykomish Valley Indian Education program is holding the 9th Annual Traditional Pow Wow. The event will be held on Saturday, May 25 at Monroe High School Commons, 17001 Tester Rd., from 1 to 10 p.m.
Everyone is welcome, and there is no admission charge.
There will be Plains-style Pow Wow Grand Entries at 1 and 6 p.m. A free dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. with fry bread and snacks available during the rest of the evening. Cultural arts vendors and information tables for health and education will be part of the event. The closing ceremony will take place at 10 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the Skykomish Valley Indian Education Parent Organization scholarship fund and provide funding for future cultural events.
Skykomish Valley Indian Education is a grant-funded program serving Native American/Alaska Native students, preschool through high school, in the Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan public schools.
