Two pedestrians sent to Providence

A 32-year-old Snohomish woman was arrested for DUI and vehicular assault following a three-vehicle collision on Old Owen Road that sent two men to the hospital on Saturday night.

The Washington State Patrol reports the Snohomish woman was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup eastbound on State Route 2 at Old Owen Road east of Monroe around 11 p.m., when she struck the rear end of a ’91 Lexus LS parked on the shoulder of the road. This caused the Lexus to strike two pedestrians standing in front of it, followed by a third vehicle, a 1999 Land Rover Discovery II, also parked along the shoulder. The Land Rover was pushed into the roadway, and the offending Dodge Dakota came to rest of its driver’s side, also in the road.

The pedestrians — a 49-year-old Gold Bar man and 45-year-old Snohomish man — were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
