Students support food bank

Monroe Rotary Students of the Month recently coordinated a citywide food drive to benefit the Sky Valley Food Bank.-á Their efforts garnered an amazing total of 4,638 pounds of food and $2,507 in cash for our ongoing efforts to feed the hungry in our community.-á As part of that food drive, the City of Monroe declared March 2015 to be Monroe Community Food Drive Month.

The volunteers at Sky Valley Food Bank want to acknowledge the dedication of the following students and to thank them for assisting us in our mission to lift up the less-fortunate people in our community: Mitchell Higgins, Bethany Johnson, Kiana Cooley, Jacob Adams, Macey McGovern, Matthew Turner,-á Riley Woods, Jacob Walker, Kailee Billerbeck, Andrew Johansen, Sara Calder and Torri Pownall.-á
