Sue M. Hyatt, a longtime resident of Monroe, WA died peacefully according to her living will wishes surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at age 61.
Born in Everett, WA and raised in the small logging community of Darrington, WA, Sue will best be remembered for the limitless love, compassion and kindness she showed all others: family, friends, animal and nature alike. She cherished spending time with her family, friends and pets, enjoying good food, music, and a cold Pepsi.
Sue displayed grace and strength throughout a long struggle with poor health, while maintaining her infectious sense of humor and love of practical jokes. She didn’t want her passing to be a source of suffering for any of her loved ones.
Sue was at one time known as Susan, and had the last names Westom and Lowell at different times. She survived the passing of her father Nathan (Bud) Eugene Hyatt and her mother Mary Ann Campbell. She is survived by her sisters Carol Massingale, Natalie Hyatt, and Lu Ann McCoy; by her sons Heath Westom, Gary Westom, and Michael Lowell; by her granddaughter Chloe Westom; and her boyfriend Jesse Simpson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 from Noon-2 p.m. at the Darrington Community Center, 570 Sauk Ave., Darrington WA. All are welcome. Food and beverages will be provided.
