The holidays were brighter for 10 Sultan High School students thanks to a gift from the Greater Everett Community Foundation and the Coastal Community Bank Employee Giving Fund.
Sultan High School Principal Tami Nesting identified a need for families who usually receive free lunch. She was concerned about them and reached out to the Greater Everett Community Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of the Coastal Community Bank Employees Giving fund each of these families had food for the entire holiday break.
Nesting reported that: "Almost every one of the students who received food "bumped' into me on Monday after break. These are kids who are usually pretty quiet but each one made the connection when they returned -- their way of saying thank you!
Nesting also thanked the community, saying in a press release: "And thank you for making this possible.... -áFuture looks brighter!GÇ¥
Coastal Community Bank Manager, Nancy Breuer said: "Coastal Community Bank employees are pleased to be able to support the basic needs of these children. We hope that this support will allow them to focus on their education and know that we believe they can succeed!GÇ¥
