Turk junior, Nicholas Sorgen, right, bursts from the starting line in the Turk-hosted, three-team cross country meet on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Osprey Park in Sultan. The Turk squad was Camry Zaffram, Tholen Blasko, Eric Tubbs, Nicholas Sorgen and McCrea Black. Black was the first Turk finisher at 18:34. Sorgen finished the three-mile, wooded course in 18:36, just trailing Black. The meet was won by Lakewood; Archbishop Murphy took second and Sultan came in third.
