"The Pajama Game' now playing at Wagner center

Sky Performing Arts' production of "The Pajama GameGÇ¥ opened over the weekend at the Wagner Performing Arts Center in Monroe.

"The Pajama GameGÇ¥ is a musical based on the 1950s novel "7-1/2 Cents,GÇ¥ by author Richard Bissell. Set in a pajama factory, the story deals with labor issues and dissatisfied union workers who are unsuccessfully seeking a pay increase.

Sky Performing Arts is a volunteer-based community theater group dedicated to promoting quality theater productions and providing opportunities for performing arts education.

Upcoming performances will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 22 and Friday Oct. 23. Additional performances will be held at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. The final matinee performance will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Tickets for "The Pajama GameGÇ¥ are $14 for students and seniors and $16 for adults, and can be purchased at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets.

The performances are presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI) in New York.-á -á
