Travis Lee Albin


Travis Lee Albin, 38 years old, of Sultan, WA, born July 18, 1976 in Edmonds, WA, lost his life trying to save friends while river rafting on the Sultan River on April 25, 2015. Travis was raised in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1994.-á He attended Edmonds Community College and the University of Phoenix. He enlisted in the Army and received the Abrams Award, the Rifle Award and many other merits during basic training. He served active duty in the Iraq War, completing his service as Sergeant E5 ranking. Travis loved astronomy, stars, planets and the whole universe.-á He was fascinated by all the rocks on Mother Earth and was a strong conservationist. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid hiker, river rafter and camper.-á He skydived from Snohomish at 10,000 ft. and summitted Mt. Rainier in 2010. He owned and operated Essential Lawn and Landscaping. He was a horticulturist and loved to grow anything. He loved the music of Bob Marley and the sound of Reggae. He played keyboard with a local band. Travis is survived by his son Gavin Northey, mother Leslie Lindsay, father Stan Albin (Cathy Berlin), sisters Leann Traver, Jessica Aaenson, and Annie Smith, and many other family members. A Memorial Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 16th, at Snohomish Community Church, 13622 Dubuque Rd., Snohomish, 98290.Travis Lee Albin
