Turks can't hold Red Wolves at bay

Lady Turk freshman #44 Shelby Jeffries tries to get a shot off over the Red Wolves defense Friday night in the SHS gym.
The Cedarcrest Red Wolves laid a defensive fog on the Sultan Turks' home floor as thick and impregnable as the winter fog outside, defeating the Lady Turks 66 - 30 on Friday night at home. A key of that defense was the-á"steal, shoot, score" tactic unleashed by the Red Wolves from the opening tipoff. All of the Turks were held to single digit scoring, with Courtney Morris leading with six points and nine rebounds. The Turks stand at 4 - 6 in conference play and 4 - 12 overall on the season.
