The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission announced last week the next round of free days at state parks will be Sunday and Monday, Jan. 17-18, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday.
These are days when visitors are not required to display a Discover Pass in their vehicles to visit state parks, which can be purchased at an annual rate of $30. A one-day parking permit costs $10.
