What's going on New Year's Eve

Since the Sky Valley seems to have joined the rest of the world in surviving the predicted Mayan Calendar apocalypse Dec. 21, it's now safe to plan for New Year's Eve.
Here is a guide to what's going on around the valley.
Monroe
Eddie's Trackside: Live music begins at 9 p.m. with Knee Deep, and wraps up at 1 a.m. There will be a champagne toast at midnight and party favors, and there is no cover.
Keg-N-Cue: A New Year's Eve party with a DJ begins at 8:30 and goes on through the night, complete with midnight champagne and party favors.
Sultan
Logger's Inn: Come to the Logger's Inn to "Party Like it's the End of the World." There will be a DJ, drink specials and karaoke, with all the horn honkers and crowns your heart desires. There will be no cover.
Bubba's Roadhouse: There will be live music at Bubba's, as well as a special dinner. The live music starts at 9 p.m., and there will be a countdown with party favors.
Gold Bar
Prospector's Steak House: There will be a steak and lobster special dinner, after which there will be a Redneck New Year's Party. You don't need fancy attire, and red Solo cups are provided. There will be a Solo cup toast at midnight, and there will also be a DJ and karaoke. There is no cover, but it gets pretty packed, so come early, because there are no reservations taken for after 9 p.m.
