Comcast Contract Renewed by Eatonville Town Council

At its March 9 meeting, the Eatonville Town Council unanimously approved the second reading of Ordinance 2020-1, authorizing the mayor to renew a cable television franchise between the town and Comcast Cable Communications, LLC.

The existing franchise agreement expired in 2005 and has been subject to a series of continuing renewals on a month-to-month basis.

Key terms of the franchise agreement include the town granting a nonexclusive franchise to Comcast; Comcast obtaining all required permits and complying with all requirements for work in Eatonville’s rights-of-way; oversight and regulation by the town; and termination of the franchise by Eatonville under specified conditions.
