Lady Cruiser basketball off to rough start last week

The Lady Cruiser basketball team got off to a rough start to open up their 2021-22 campaign.

They opened up the season on the road against the Cascade Christian Cougars and after a hard-fought game, they fell 38-32.

Hailey Rath led the Cruisers with 22 points.

The Cruisers were then in the comfortable confines of Rainier Connect Arena for their first home game of the season as they hosted the La Center Wildcats out of the TriCo league.

The outcome was not much better, as the Cruisers fell 60-39 to the Wildcats.

Rath again led the Cruisers with 19 points, followed by Bailey Anderson’s 11.

The Lady Cruisers finished off the week with another trip down south, this time to Adna High School to take on the Pirates.

The Pirates, coming off an undefeated COVID-shortened season last year, were no match for the Cruisers, as Eatonville dropped this game 65-21 to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Sophia Henley led the Cruisers with four points.
