Eatonville churches hosting family friendly festival in August

Seven Eatonville churches are uniting to host a family festival in response to Pierce County considered the most “unchurched” in the United States, according to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Seven churches representing several denominations are partnering with Oregon-based ETeamGlobal to host the Something More Family Festival, which begins at 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at 400 Lynch Creek Road E., Eatonville. The festival will feature a range of activities, including double ziplines, a ballistic swing and inflatables for all ages. The program includes a concert featuring national recording artists Jordan Feliz and White Ribbon Day, a demonstration from professional skateboarder Tim Byrne and messages of hope from international evangelists Tim Robnett, Chris Kingston and Austin Hall from ETeamGlobal.

“The Something More Family Festival is going to be a great, uplifting time for families, but ultimately it's about more than having fun,” CenterPoint Church Pastor Jonathan Cross said in a press release. “It’s about giving our churches and their members an opportunity to share Christ with family, friends and neighbors in a fun, unintimidating, relevant way.”
