Community input sought for aging and disability services Area Plan Update

The Pierce County Human Services Aging and Disability Resources division invites the community to attend a public meeting to comment on the draft 2022-23 Area Plan Update, including the 2022 proposed budget.

The one-hour virtual public meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 21, 2021. Interested participants can attend for free online using the information below:

The draft 2022-23 Area Plan Update is available online at the ADR website. This update provides new information about the needs of older adults and adults with disabilities living in Pierce County, drafts a plan for addressing those needs over the next two years and shares the proposed budget for 2022. The area plan budget allocates program funding for community services including Alzheimer’s support, counseling, case management, nursing, legal assistance, family caregiver support, senior centers, senior meal sites and more.
