Cruiser soccer shuts out Raymond, 8-0

The Cruiser boys soccer team was looking to turn things around when they traveled to Raymond to take on the Raymond Seagulls in a non-league matchup.

They finished with an eight-goal barrage that dropped the Seagulls, 8-0.

Kevin Tomyn scored a super hat-trick with four goals in the match. Sebastian Montes De Oca Molina added two goals of his own, and Riley Rockey and Josiah Goode each added one.

Nathaniel Goode and Leo Hunt split time in goal for the Cruisers to earn the shutout. Hunt posted three saves in goal in the second half to keep the shutout intact.

Head coach Clint Tomyn said he was pleased with his team's performance.

"The defense played a perfect match, with a shut out from our defense: Ryan Hatch, Ayden Lilly, Victor Pena and Riley Rockey at the anchor,” he said.

The Cruisers will try to keep things rolling as they took on Montesano Wednesday to take on the second-place Bulldogs before ending the week hosting the Ilwaco Fishermen in a non-league affair at 6 p.m. at Eatonville High School.
