Michael Dean Treadwell July 3, 1940-June 3, 2022

Michael Dean Treadwell was born in Tacoma to Ray and Norma Treadwell on July 3, 1940, and was raised in Eatonville. He passed away due to natural causes on June 3, 2022. Mike proudly served on the USS Richard S. Edwards (1959-63), and later worked at Simpson Timber Company for 30 years. In 1972, Mike married Sharon (Johnson) Brink, a widower with two young boys Brad and Bryan, and moved to Olympia in 1973. Daughter Lisa was born in 1974, and Mike and Sharon resided in Olympia for over 40 years. After retirement, the couple started Wisteria Cottage, a popular antiques business that Mike contributed to with his rustic woodwork from birdhouses to potting benches. When Mike was widowed in 2016, he closed the business and moved to Othello, to be near his daughter Lisa's family. Mike was a lover of old cars and car shows. He loved telling jokes and recounting stories from past adventures. He never met a stranger, and was quick with a smile and a laugh. He was generous in spirit, and loved his family and friends deeply. Mike is survived by son Brad, son Bryan (wife Cathy and their son Conner and daughter Morgan), and daughter Lisa (husband Josh, daughters Addi and Ava, and son Kellen), as well as his sisters Linda Feldtman (husband Gary), and Kathy Miller (husband Bob). There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 23, at noon at the Lacey Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Mike's memory to the Thurston County Food Bank or Royal City Food Bank, two organizations he donated to for many years.
