Arbor Health adds new member to leadership team

Arbor Health has welcomed a new member to the rural health system’s leadership team. Cheryl Cornwell, MBA, has taken the financial helm of the organization as chief financial officer.

Cornwell comes to Lewis County Hospital District No. 1, the legal entity of Arbor Health, with 16 years’ experience in the healthcare field, 13 of which were serving as CFO. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Washington University and a master’s degree from City University (Bellevue).

Cornwell most recently served as CFO for Lake Chelan Health, also a critical access hospital with rural health clinics, similar to Arbor Health. Prior to that, she was with Lake Health District Hospital in Lakeview, Ore.

East Lewis County has its rural lifestyle to thank for bringing Cornwell to the community. She arrived with cats, dogs and horses, and looks forward to outdoor recreation.

Arbor Health is the parent organization of Morton Hospital, Rapid Care Clinic in Morton and Morton, Mossyrock and Randle primary care clinics. The organization is readying to open the new Packwood Clinic in early 2023.
