The Eatonville Town Council passed an ordinance creating an airport commission regarding Swanson Field, the local municipal airport.
Per the May 9 ordinance, the commission will “ensure regular meeting frequency, attendance and permanent record keeping to stay on track with airport-related issues until resolved.”
The council passed an ordinance confirming Mayor David Baublits to the “for” committee regarding the replacement of the Emergency Medical Services levy, which will appear on the Aug. 2 Pierce County primary ballot.
“We, as of yet, have not received anybody that’s interested in being on the ‘against’ committee, so that’s where this originated from,” Baublits explained.
