Van Duren joins Arbor Health administration team

Arbor Health has welcomed a new member to the rural health system’s leadership team. Barbara Van Duren, MSN, MHA, NEA-BC, has taken the role of chief nursing officer and chief quality officer, left vacant after Sara Williamson’s retirement.

Van Duren comes to Lewis County Hospital District No. 1, the legal entity of Arbor Health, from Moses Lake with over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field, 15 of which in senior nursing leadership positions. Van Duren earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing as well as her master’s degree in health administration from the University of Phoenix located in Phoenix, Arizona. She also brings the credential of nurse executive advance-board certified from the American Nurses Credentialing Center of Silver Springs, Maryland.

Arbor Health is the parent organization of Morton Hospital, the Rapid Care Clinic and the Specialty Clinic in Morton as well as the Morton, Mossyrock, Randle and Packwood primary care clinics.
