It was a challenging week for the Eatonville Cruiser baseball team as it went winless in all three of their games, dropping their season record to 1-6.

The first defeat unfolded on March 26, as the Cruisers endured a 4-3 loss against the Elma Eagles. Notable performances included Owen Archer's 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base, Ethan Evans' 2-for-3 with a double and 1 run scored, and Will Sepich's 2-for-4. Pitcher Payton Hanly's commendable 7 innings on the mound, marked by 13 strikeouts, unfortunately couldn't salvage the game. Owen Archer was handed the loss, yielding 1 run on 2 hits in his two innings of pitching.

March 28, proved to be equally challenging as the Cruisers faced a doubleheader against the Tenino Beavers. In the first game, a 18-3 loss ensued, plagued by four costly errors. Despite efforts to respond, including Aaron Tozier and Brody Thirtyacre's offensive contributions, the Cruisers couldn't stem the Beavers' relentless attack. Colton Herbrand's start on the mound was marred by nine runs over two innings, leading to the eventual mercy rule-shortened loss.

The second game of the doubleheader offered no respite, with the Tenino Beavers winning 13-0. Michael Stogsdill's lead the team with a 2-for-3 hitting performance. Pitcher Aaron Leiter's efforts fell short, with relief pitchers Brody Thirtyacre and Aaron Tozier unable to stave off the Beavers' offensive onslaught.

Looking ahead, the Cruisers aim to reverse their fortunes when they face the 1-8 Lake Lancers on Tuesday, April 2, with hopes of sparking a much-needed turnaround.
