A Roy man died in a traffic accident Monday in Thurston County. The State Patrol identified him as William C. Barringer, 60, and said he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. According to troopers, the car that Barringer was driving on State Route 510 was struck head-on by another vehicle that crossed the centerline after hitting a guardrail and veering back into traffic. The driver of that car, a 63-year-old woman from Lacey, was taken to an Olympia hospital. Information on her condition wasn't available.
