Head-on crash kills one, injures three

A Randle man died Sunday after being involved the day before in a head-on collision on State Route 161 near Graham. The State Patrol identified the victim as Craig R. Raymond, 20. He died at Tacoma General Hospital from injuries he suffered in the crash. According to the State Patrol, Raymond was the driver of a car that crossed the highway's centerline on a curve near Thomas Road, about eight miles south of Graham. The car collided with a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old man from Fresno, Calif. That driver and two of his passengers GÇô one from Eatonville and the other from Puyallup GÇô were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. Their conditions weren't reported. Troopers said excessive speed contributed to the crash. SR-161 was blocked for nearly four hours by the accident.
