Seton Catholic beat Eatonville 5-2 last Saturday in the District 4 high school soccer playoffs, putting an end to the Cruisers' season and their drive for a berth in the 1A state tournament. Eatonville finished fourth in the district competition, in which the the top-three finishers advanced to the state tournament. The Cruisers and Seton Catholic were playing for the third and final ticket. It was Eatonville's second chance last week to reach the state tourney. The first chance went by the wayside when they lost to King's Way Christian 7-0 Thursday in Montesano. The winner of that second-round match assured itself of advancing to the state tourney as one of the district's top two seeds. Montesano, the host team for the playoffs, was the other state qualifier to emerge from District 4. Eatonville defeated La Center 2-1 Nov. 3 in an opening-round match at Art Crate Field in the Bethel School District. Alexa Graddy scored both of the Cruisers' goals. Eatonville finished the 2015 campaign with an 11-7 record and a third-place finish in the Evergreen League during the regular season.
