Eatonville High School's football team made a triumphant return to the Nisqually League by thumping Port Townsend 42-7 Friday.
The Cruisers, playing in front of their hometown fans, built a 35-0 halftime lead and expanded it to 42-0 before surrendering a touchdown in their first game in the Nisqually since returning to the conference and the class 1A ranks. With its second straight victory this season, Eatonville is now 2-1.
Meanwhile, Bethel lost Friday for the first time this season, falling to Curtis 35-9 in a South Puget Sound League 4A South division contest. The Braves slipped to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the SPSL.
