Cruisers win through the air

Five touchdown passes by quarterback Jacob McCormick helped Eatonville beat Aberdeen 43-20 last Friday and start the Cruisers' defense of their Evergreen League 1A title. In the 2015 league opener for both squads and the home opener for Eatonville, McCormick completed 18 of 25 passes for 286 yards. Three went to Tucker Poll for touchdowns, and two more were hauled in for scores by Justin Brandt. The Cruisers, who improved their record to 2-1, led 28-6 at halftime on the way to scoring 40 points of more for the second game in a row. Aberdeen is now 0-3.
