Graham-Kapowsin beat Bethel 27-6 last Friday to wrap up the South Division title of the 4A South Puget Sound League and head into the high school football playoffs undefeated. Despite losing to its cross-district rival, Bethel is playoffs-bound, too, as one of the division's top three teams. Loser-out scenarios face Graham-Kapowsin and Bethel this week in their district matchups. The Eagles (9-0) will face Snohomish (5-4) at Art Crate Field. The Braves (6-3) will take on an undefeated team for the second week in a row, this time against Camas (9-0). Graham-Kapowsin hasn't lost since the semifinals of the 4A state tournament last year. Snohomish, meanwhile, has a winning streak of its own. After losing their first four games this season, the Panthers have won their last five, the latest 27-14 over Mariner last Friday. Camas, which will host Bethel in the Columbia River town, has been rolling up one big win after another, starting with a season-opening 35-14 blitzing of Chiawana, the 2014 state tournament runnerup. Since then, the Papermakers have won 49-28 over Federal Way, 56-7 over Rogers, 62-21 over Evergreen, 41-10 over Skyview, 42-6 over Battle Ground, 52-16 over Union, 35-17 over Mountain View and 44-10 over Heritage. Bethel has faced two of the teams Camas bludgeoned GÇô Rogers, who the Braves beat 34-7, and Mountain View, which won 42-28. In the Graham-Kapowsin-Bethel showdown last Friday, Elan Olmos raced 70 yards in the first quarter for G-K's first touchdown, giving his team a permanent lead. But the Eagles led only 12-6 before two fourth-quarter touchdowns sealed the win.
