Gayle Diane Kitchel (Puariea), age 72 passed away on October 15, 2015 at Advantage Health Care in Mesa, Arizona. She was born on June 7, 1943 in Tacoma, WA to Moses and Lila(Berg) Puariea. Gayle grew up in Eatonville, WA, where she graduated from high school in 1961. She was a member of the cheer squad and loved her cheerleading! Gayle often attended the annual reunions to catch up with her friends and classmates. Gayle married Don in 1961 in Eatonville. They were happily married for 54 years. Gayle enjoyed making crafts, fishing/camping, the beach/clam digging, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and cooking. She loved to sit around the campfire. She was known to be kind and generous and was always thinking and doing things for everyone else. Gayle liked to have fun and host parties. She even instigated recipe cook offs with Spam and Velveeta, and pumpkin decorating contests. Every year she started the holiday season on Thanksgiving mornings with Tom & Jerry's, breakfast goodies and many, many friends! On New Year's Day mornings, she loved the traditional Belgian waffle breakfast. She participated in a Bridge Club weekly and gave lessons, and loved to play cards with friends every week. She also loved "bunco,GÇ¥ Easter bonnets, and the cookie exchange. These are the grand-kids favorite memories too! Others say she was a friend to all and to know her was to love her! She was unique and that by knowing her made their life better! Gayle worked as a realtor for years. Starting as a secretary, she earned her realtor license and during her career received many awards including membership to the Million Dollar Club multiple times. When she retired Don and Gayle moved to Arizona. Gayle is survived by her husband of 54 years Don; her children Scott, Teresa (Tom) Bond, and Shannon (Jeff) Reding; her grandchildren Matthew, Allison, Rowan and Greyson and many nieces and nephews.
