Jack Lee Kendall

Jack is lovingly remembered by his immediate family and friends. He is survived by his wife Donna of 63 years; his children, Karen Mickelson (Scott), Shannon Gallagher (Tim), Craig Kendall (Wendy), Sheri Miller, Debra Horner (David); and was preceded in death by son Randy Kendall (Daniela). Papa Jack was blessed with 33 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren. Jack graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and immediately joined the Navy in 1946 and then attended CPS (UPS) for two years, majoring in pre-engineering. He was employed by Pacific Northwest Bell for 35 years, where he retired as an engineer in 1983. He served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in many capacities. He was sealed to his wife and children for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1962. He loved his calling to serve in the Seattle Temple and gave of his time, serving a mini-mission for 18 months at the Deseret Industries. He also shared his talents in the scouting program from 1955 until the present, earning many awards including the Silver Beaver. One of his most treasured adventures in scouting was the annual hike across the Olympic Mountains, whether with scouts or with his family. Both brought him great joy. Papa enjoyed fishing, gardening, motorcycles, go-carts, genealogy and spending time with his family. He especially loved the time he spent with Donna in their later years, working on the property where they designed and built their dream home. Jack was passionate about his family and church GÇô truly a man of God. He will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at the LDS Chapel in Eatonville March 30 at 3 p.m.
