James Ferris Marshall

Jim was born on May 23, 1951 in Puyallup to Robert and Loraine Marshall. He grew up and lived in Eatonville. He graduated from Eatonville High School in 1969. He joined the U.S. Air Force in October of 1969 and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas while attending Loadmaster School. He served in Vietnam as a loadmaster throughout his time in the service. After coming home, he worked in home construction and also commercial. The last few years, he worked in oil refineries. He loved woodworking and took up a hobby of woodcarving. He made canes and walking sticks and used tree roots to make whimsical animals, etc.
Jim passed away on June 24, 2012, working in their yard with his wife Bonnie. He is also survived by his mother Loraine and his sister Robyne Snyder, his former wife Sally Vaughn, mother of his two sons Robb (Tiffany) Marshall, Dan (Jesse) Marshall, five grandchildren GÇô Miranda, Grace, Jakob and Jack and Brooke, nephews Dean (Sandi) Snyder and Erik (Amy) Snyder, a niece, Nancy Marshall and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert and sisters, Judy Guilford and Melody Kay.
A private memorial was held by his family in Eatonville and another in Pacific, Wash., where Jim and Bonnie lived.
