Frederick G. Koury

Frederick G. Koury Sr. was born June 22, 1920 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the seventh born of 11 children. He passed away peacefully at his home in Eatonville, Washington on February 8, 2014 at age 93. Fred led a full and active life. His many activities and achievements included United States Civilian Conservation Corps, World War II veteran, retired 40-year cabinet maker, 64-year member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, square danced 25-plus years, worked 11 years at the Puyallup Fair and 10 years at Tanwax Golf Course after retirement, and was a member of the Puyallup River Peggers Cribbage Club. Fred golfed weekly until age 87, loved fishing, gardening, camping, and traveling. He enjoyed playing on his computer and was always excited to go to his grandkid's sporting events. He was preceded in death by his wife May and is survived by sons Kevin (wife Amy) of Keller, Texas, Chad (wife Cathy) of Puyallup, Rick of Idaho and the daughter of his heart, Terry Hatton (husband Jim) of Eatonville, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
