Lots for fair's price of admission

Five bucks buys a lot at the Pierce County Fair.
The $5-per-person admission price for the fair in Graham GÇô which is back for its 65th year in a four-day run that starts Thursday GÇô includes free entertainment and other sights and sounds ranging from acrobats and comedians to 4H animals.
Frontier Park is once again the setting for the fair. The gates will open at 10 a.m. each day Thursday through Sunday.
Final preparations were made last week and early this week for the entertainers, carnival rides, livestock and craft exhibits, and vendor displays, not to mention the fairgoers themselves. The four-day attendance last year topped 20,000.
The fair is promoted as a family-oriented, down-to-earth event. True to form is the on-stage entertainment, which will include the Wenatchee Youth Circus and wacky comic Alex Zerbe.
Youth pet and livestock experts from 4H will again carry on the annual tradition of exhibiting their furry friends. A cat show, dog show, horse riding, poultry judging, llama and alpaca fitting and showmanship, a pygmy goat show and and displays of rabbits are on tap.
