A big performance in a game that was especially important to his football team's season earned Eatonville High School's Jacob McCormick Athlete of the Week honors from the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA). McCormick, a senior quarterback, was singled out after helping the Cruisers beat La Center 23-20 Nov. 6. in the district playoffs. He completed 16 of 30 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown and ran 13 times for another 56 yards in the victory that gave Eatonville a berth in the 1A state tournament.
