Cruisers' Moose gets WIAA honor

A standout performance in Eatonville High School's victory over Elma in an Evergreen League football game Oct. 23 has earned statewide recognition for running back Logan Moose. The senior was selected by the WIAA staff as one of its Athletes of the Week after he rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Cruisers beat Elma 48-35. Moose's 60-yard touchdown run with 1:15 left in the game sealed the 48-35 win. He also caught two passes for 34 yards, and he had 10 tackles on defense. WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) is the statewide governing body of high school athletics. Athletes of the Week winner receive a congratulatory letter from WIAA's executive director, a commemorative t-shirt and a certificate. Twelve student-athletes GÇô one male and one female from each of the six high school enrollment classifications GÇô are picked each week for the honor.
