RAMROD bike ride goes 150 miles

As many as 800 bicyclists will pedal through Eatonville and nearby areas July 28 during the annual RAMROD (Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day), described by Redmond Bicycle Club organizers as an ultra-marathon cycling event. The 150-mile route begins and ends in Enumclaw. Along the way, participants will ride through south Pierce County GÇô including Eatonville and other environs GÇô on state highways and county roads and through Mount Rainier National Park. In the park, construction on the Longmire-to-Paradise road project will be halted to accommodate the ride, park officials said.
