Tuesday is the last day to vote in the general elections. Ballots must be postmarked no later than that day if mailed back to the Pierce County elections department, or they can be deposited by 8 p.m. at official ballot drop boxes. Locations of the latter include Barney's Corner Mini-Mart at the corner of State Route 161 and Eatonville Cutoff Road near Eatonville, the Roy Y park-and-ride lot in Spanaway at State Route 507 and Pacific Avenue, and the South Hill branch of Pierce County LIbrary System at 15420 Meridian East. An official county voting center, also available for ballots to be dropped off, is at the county maintenance facility at 4812 196th St. E. in Spanaway. Locally, voters are deciding a bond measure for South Pierce Fire and Rescue and choosing a mayor and Town Council members in Eatonville, school board members in the Bethel and Eatonville school districts, and commissioners for the Port of Tacoma, Graham Fire and Rescue and South Pierce Fire and Rescue.
