A teenager from Graham died in a traffic accident on State Route 161 early Thursday morning. The State Patrol identified the victim as Zachary Statezni, 18. According to troopers, Statezni was a passenger in an automobile that was northbound at a high speed when it went out of control near 238th Street East and rolled, coming to a rest in the yard of a home. Statezni, who apparently wasn't wearing a seat belt, died at the scene of the crash, troopers said. The car's driver, a 17-year-old male from Orting, and another passenger, a 17-year-old male from Graham, were injured and were taken to hospitals in Tacoma and Puyallup, respectively. Information about their conditions wasn't reported. The car, a 2005 Dodge Neon, was described by troopers as a total loss. The cause of the accident was still under investigation by the State Patrol.
