Eatonville High School's 2014 girls soccer team, good enough to qualify for the state tournament, received additional validation from its rivals in the Evergreen League. The Cruisers' Heidi Brankline and Alex Phillips were named to the All-Evergreen team, and two of their teammates received second-team honors in voting by the league's coaches after the regular season. Brankline and Alex Phillips, both seniors, were selected as forwards. Another senior, Emily Boetcher, and junior Mary Fisher landed on the second team as defenders. Eatonville bowed out in the state tournament in the first round in a 7-1 loss to Klahowya on Nov. 11. Klahowya, which is in Silverdale, went on to win the state championship last weekend. Eatonville reached the tourney with victories over White Salmon and La Center in the district playoffs.
