Eatonville, Graham-Kapowsin and Bethel have wrestlers in this weekend's regional high school wrestling tournaments GÇô the final step to qualifying for the state championships in Tacoma. At the 1A sub-regionals last Saturday at Montesano High, seven Eatonville Cruisers earned their regional tickets with top-four finishes GÇô Tanner Frost (first at 132 pounds), Wyatt Schrader (second at 106), Gage Olsen (third at 126), Derek Brown (third at 170), and Dawson Wilcox (138), Zach Trujillo (220) and Justin Mann (285), each one fourth. The 1A regionals will be staged Feb. 13 at Castle Rock. The 4A regional field this Saturday at Rogers will include 10 weight-class champions or runnersup via the Bethel School District from last weekend's South Puget Sound League South Division tournament.They include three titleists who helped the Bethel Braves finish second in the team results GÇô brothers Dante Springsteen and Philip Springsteen at 152 and 160 pounds, respectively. and Devyn Sweem at 113. Graham-Kapowsin also had three champions. Mason Eaglin took the 120-pound crown, Lane Holland was the 126-pound winner over Bethel's Tyshante Young, and Gavin Eaglin ruled at 145. Avylon Fisher of Bethel finished second at 285, while two Spanaway Lake entries GÇô Terrence Thomas at 195 and Freddie Green at 220 GÇô placed first and second, respectively. The top four finishers per weight class in the regionals will advance to the state tournament Feb. 19-20 at the Tacoma Dome.
