Graham-Kapowsin blasted Emerald Ridge 49-0 in a high school football game Thursday, coming within one touchdown of its third straight 56-point game.
The win kept the Eagles undefeated and assured them of no worse than a share of the 4A South Puget Sound League lead three weeks into the season.
The shutout of Emerald Ridge at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup was the second time G-K has held an opponent scoreless this fall. The first such victim was South Kitsap 56-0 in the season opener, followed by a 56-23 decision over Curtis.
