Seventeen Eatonville Cruisers – 12 boys and five girls – will compete in the 2A high school wretling regionals this Friday after qualifying in the South Puget Sound League sub-regionals last week.
The regional tourney, where the top finishers will advance to the state tournament, will be held at Decatur High School in Federal Way.
Top-four finishes on the boys side and top-sixes for the girls in the sub-regional meets at Orting High and Jefferson last Friday, respectively, earned tickets to the regionals.
Qualifiers among Eatonville's boys were Zhennia Cyrus (fourth), Gage Olsen (second), Dominick Johnson (third), Tanner Haugen (second), Dawsen Wilcox (third), Trevor Scantling, Zandar Peters -and Justin Mann (all fourth).
For the Cruisers' girls, Madison Jumper finished secnd, Olivia Branson third, Allyson Estes fourth, Kayla Trujillo fourth, and Taylor Curtis fifth to move on to the regionals.
Finishing fifth in the boys' field and earning alternate status for the reginals were Mason Thornton, Kjellsen Nykreim, Zack Smith and Austin Campbell.
