Motorcycle hits pedestrian on SR-7

Three south Pierce County residents – one of them a pedestrian – were injured Jan. 13 in collisions between vehicles and pedestrians on State Route 7, according to the State Patrol.
William H. Horn, 48, from Eatonville, was struck by a motorcycle in the intersection of the highway and 112th Street South. Horn and the motorcycle's driver, a 26-year-old Spanaway man, were taken to hospitals for medical attention.
In the other accident, a car driven by a 56-year-old man from Spanaway collided with a vehicle that was blocking SR-7 near 208th Street East. He and his passenger were hospitalized for treatment of injuries. The driver of the second car, a 32-year-old Graham man who was the only person in it, wasn't hurt, troopers said.
The highway was closed at the accident scene for three hours during an investigation and cleanup.
