Anthony F. Vanhulle


Anthony (Tony) Vanhulle passed away in his sleep on April 16, 2015. Tony was born in Kerriston, WA.-á In 1924 the family moved to Duvall, WA where he spent his childhood years on the family farm. In 1942 he enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country on the USS President Jackson until 1945.-á In 1949 he purchased a dairy farm in the Tualco Valley.-á After the cows were sold in 1998 he continued to care for the neighbors' heifers and grew vegetables in his green house for mom's garden until last year. Tony is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Cheri (Ed) Hurst, sons Bert (Marlene) Frohning, Mike Vanhulle (Linda), Steve Vanhulle (Cindy) and Brian (Michelle) Vanhulle.-á Also by grandchildren Stacy, Jeran, Allison, Christie, Tom, Shelby, Trenton, Taryne, Paige, Dale, Paul, Jeff and Mark. As well as 15 great-grandchildren. His surviving sisters are Margaret Baldwin, Irene Yalovich and Bernice McElhoe and several nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Hector and Marie Vanhulle, his son Anthony F. Vanhulle II, his brother Frank Vanhulle and sister Lucy Exe-Brooks. A special thank you to Mario, Aleta, Marci, Marilou, Jennifer and Elsa, the staff at St. Jude-¦s Comfort Care in Monroe for taking care of dad the past few months. A celebration of his life will be held May 2, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe, WA.
