The Bearcat Black 89'ers team of eight - and nine-year-old football players defeated the Kamiak Knights, 32 GÇô 6, in the championship game Saturday at Monroe High School.
The Bearcats recovered-áfour onside kickoffs and ran off 24 points before the Knights finally scored late in the fourth quarter of play. Defensively, the Bearcats controlled the field of play as the Knights only crossed the fifty yard line two times in the game.
