Bippity, Boppity BOO: Franken-tastic events for kids this Halloween

Catch a ride on a broomstick with your little ghosts and goblins and enjoy some frighteningly fun Halloween attractions in the Sky Valley. Kids will go supernatural over the carnival games, costume contests and tons of delicious candies.
Pumpkin Smash at the Speedway
Looking for an adrenaline blast before the sugar rush? Evergreen Speedway is hosting the Pumpkin Smash Enduro this Saturday, Oct. 25, beginning at noon.
Watch racecars smash and bash pumpkins at this family-friendly event. Sponsored by Interstate Batteries, this explosive showdown will be the perfect way to kick-off the week before Halloween.
Pumpkin Carving Contest, fresh pressed cider at Western Heritage
Show off your bewitching carving skills at the Western Heritage Center's Pumpkin Carving Contest on Oct. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Evergreem State Fairgrounds.
Bring a carved pumpkin, ready to be judged, for the chance to win awesome prizes. Fresh apple cider will be available to the public, so tote your own bottles and fill up! Downtown Monroe Trick or Trunk or Treat and more
Back by popular demand, the Trick or Trunk or Treat event will be in full effect Halloween night! From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., families will begin their mad dash down the streets of historic Monroe in search of precious treasure. Businesses with an orange pumpkin in the window will distribute all kinds of delicious sweets and scrumptious goodies. Starting at 5 p.m., families can continue South on Lewis Street to the Trunk or Treat, where kids can trick or treat out of the trunks of creatively decorated cars.
Emerald City Fitness Future Clients Promotion
The gym staff at Emerald City Fitness will be dressed in wicked Halloween attire, and the trunks of their cars will ooze with hair-raising decorations at the gym's Trick or Trunk or Treat event on October 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. Bring your little ones and come join in the fun! Emerald City Fitness is located at 14925 Chain Lake Rd, in Monroe.
Grace Fellowship Church Trunk or Treat

Sky Valley Academy Parents' Night Out
Parents, you deserve a tasty treat too'a night off! Bring your little zombies and princesses to the Sky Valley Academy on Oct. 31 from 6 to 10 p.m. The Academy is hosting a huge Halloween party for your kids, complete with oodles of entertaining activities. Logger's Kids' Haunted House
Logger's Inn, located at 215 Main St. in Sultan, will be hosting a free haunted house this year for kids of all ages. The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the front yard of Logger's Inn. The event will also serve as a food drive to support the Sultan Food Bank, in an effort to help feed more families over the holidays.
Sleepy Hollow, Sultan Style
The Headless Horseman has been riding through the streets of Sultan every Halloween at dusk for the last 26 years. Historically, he begins his ride at the Sultan Cemetery, and heads west down U.S. 2 just as the evening starts to take hold. He then rides down Main Street and onto 8th Street, passing out candy to young trick-or-treaters along the way.
Rock Church's One Wild Night
The Rock Church, located at 16891 146th St S.E., knows how to kick-off the holiday season'with the gift of giving. Come celebrate and help support your local communities at their One Wild Night Halloween bash! Admission is a minimum donation of three cans of food per family. Inside, enjoy a variety of fun activities such as pie-eating contests, recreational inflatables, pumpkin treats, candy and kettle corn.
Howl-o-Ween Party for the Pets
Take your pets to Pet Pros for their Howl-o-Ween Party on Oct. 31, from 12 to 4 p.m. Pets will compete in a costume contest, while partygoers enjoy a raffle, prize wheel and the ultimate party favor, a "pawwfectGÇ¥ pet portrait photo from the photo booth. Pet Pros is located at 19943 SR 2, Monroe.
Fright Night at the Galaxy
Calling all teens and courageous adults! There's nothing like a scary movie to get you in the Halloween mood. These haunting releases, featured at the Monroe's Galaxy 12 Theatre, will take your breath away. Scarier than any vampire flick or chainsaw massacre, the following movies are gut wrenching, bizarre, frightening'and all too realistic. Enter at your own risk!
Ouija: It's not fun and games anymore. Out Oct. 24, this horror film is petrifying, heart stopping and hauntingly realistic. PG-13.
Frankenstein: Making a special two-night appearance on Monday, Oct. 27 and Wednesday, Oct. 29, the National Theatre Live presents a rare release of the legendary film. Rated R.
Dracula Untold: The ultimate Halloween classic, Dracula tells the tale of how it all began. This action-packed, blood-curdling adventure is currently in theaters. PG-13.
Annabelle: Currently haunting a theater near you, Annabelle is a frightening horror story about a supernatural vintage doll and the madness and mayhem surrounding it. Be prepared for the ultimate freak show. Rated R.
