City of Monroe seeks applicants for salary commission

The City of Monroe is currently seeking applicants to fill the following vacancies on the Monroe Salary Commission.-á

The first will serve a one-year term ending on Dec. 31, 2015. The second will serve a two-year term ending on Dec. 31, 2016 and the third will serve a three-year term ending on Dec. 31, 2017. The application deadline is Feb. 20.

The salary commission reviews and establishes the salaries of the mayor and the council members and exercises the powers and perform the duties set forth by RCW 35.21.015.-á

The commission convenes and completes its first review of the salaries paid to the mayor and City Council within 90 days of its appointment. For subsequent years, the commission will meet no less than once per year, during August.
