Enjoy an evening of Native Culture, Silent Auction

The Skykomish Valley Indian Education families invite the community to join them for an Evening of Native Culture and Silent Auction at the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center, 17001 Tester Rd., on Saturday, March 29. The doors open at 6:15 to browse the silent auction. Music and storytelling begins at 7 p.m. for this free, family friendly event. The evening will include special presentations by virtuoso violinist, Swil Kanim, Lummi and international performing Coast Salish Native Flutist and Storyteller, Paul "Che oke tenGÇ¥ Wagner. The silent auction hosted by the group's parent organization will feature Native art, gift certificates to local venues and more. Refreshments, including fresh frybread from Big Bear's Native Tacos, will be served for a suggested 50-cent donation to benefit SVIE parent organization. Skykomish Valley Indian Education is a grant-funded program serving Native American/Alaska Native students, preschool through high school, in the Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan public schools.
