The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified human remains found between Maltby and Monroe this spring as that of 27-year-old Jamie C. Haggard, a Woodinville mother who had been missing since June 2016.

A month after her disappearance the King County Sheriff's Office dug up the front and backyard of her home using excavators, which is where she was last seen. Her disappearance was labeled suspicious. The examiner’s office’s Thursday findings ruled her death as homicide.

The agency has followed various leads throughout the past two years, none of which led to her body.

In May of last year they received a tip that tied her to a home on the 8200 block of NE 145th St in Kenmore. No more evidence was found during their search.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported a crew had been cleaning litter from the side of the road at intersection of Downes and Fales roads around 3 p.m. on May 9 when they came upon the remains — that was about a dozen miles from Haggard's home. A suitcase and blanket were also discovered at the scene.

The King County Sheriff's Office tip line is 206-296-3311.
