Flashback: Stephens-Bird Lumber & Logging Company railroad operations, June 1912

Stephens-Bird Lumber Company was established sometime around 1908 on the east bank of the Snoqualmie River near High Bridge. E. Milton Stephens was the president, his brother Elmer was vice-president, and Benjamin F. (B.F. or Buns) Bird was the Secretary-Treasurer.
They later took over Forks Logging Company and High Rock Logging Company, and later the Cascade Mill in Snohomish. The mills operated until around 1923. Tracks ran from their logging camps around High Rock to the mill.
Note the U.S. Mail Wagon Wagon, R.F.D. #1 going under the trestle at center left.
