Focus on Seniors: Annual auction among upcoming happenings at senior center

People suffering from chronic medical conditions will get help learning how to cope through an upcoming workshop at the East County Senior Center in Monroe.
The Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop at the senior center begins Thursday, Oct. 31. and runs for six weeks.
It meets on Thursdays through Dec. 12 (there is no class on Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day).
You will learn critical skills needed to live a full life with chronic conditions. Topics include managing your chronic condition, increasing movement, creating a healthy menu, stress management, medication management, working with health care professionals, problem solving and setting achievable goals.

The East County Senior Center's annual auction will take place Saturday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. This annual fundraiser is a rousing success every year, raising needed funds to keep the senior center a fun and growing place.

Halloween is the time for a costume contest! The ECSC is hosting their annual costume event and luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 11:45 a.m. There are prizes for the scariest costume, as well as the funniest and most creative.
Don't forget to get your Bingo on! Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:45 p.m you have a chance to win with your Powerball number'on a local basis you have better odds!
Didn't get enough fun at afternoon bingo? Then spend your Friday night at ECSC for Friday Night Bingo Potluck. Bring your best dish to share with the crowd, play some games and get out of the house for a while!
